Al & Greg song written by Jeff Lynne All Al song written by Boy George
The Rodeo Rangers Radio Show on WMTR in the 1950's. I had the pleasure of playing with Steve (my father) and Lenny in later years.
I will be looking for more Rodeo Rangers recordings and photographs to post on this page in the future. They were carrying on the tradition of western (cowboy) music, as made popular by The Sons Of The Pioneers and real country music, as well as performing popular hits by artists such as the Mills Brothers, the Ink Spots, and the Four Aces. Steve, later became in demand as a singer of the sophisticated "Great American Songbook" type hits of the following decades. Lenny also played steadily and eventually became part of a roaring twenties group. They both always loved the western style that they started with. If you like this kind of music there are still some great artists keeping it going, most notably the very entertaining Riders In The Sky.
